3D Teleconferencing Using Kinect Shown Off

A team of researchers from UNC-Chapel Hill have used 3D mapping with the help of 4 Kinects to render the video. The system includes headtracking on the receiving end so that person tuning in will actually see the live video in 3D, even without wearing 3D glasses. Take a look at the video above to know more about Kinect’s potential. BTW, Microsoft is expected to launch Kinect SDK for PC’s on Monday at E3.
