Acer Windows 8 Line-up Pricing Revealed, Starts From Approx $700

Similar to Asus Windows 8 offerings, Acer’s upcoming Windows 8 devices pricing got revealed today. There will be two main devices, Acer W510 and Acer W700. You can see the pricing for the New Zealand market in the above image. Acer’s Iconia W510 is powered by dual core Intel Atom and 64GB storage starts at $712 USD approximately.

Acer’s Iconia W700 will have 128GB SSD storage and powered by a 1.7ghz Intel i5 processor and a 11.6″ full HD display. It will cost $1299 USD approximately. These devices are full Windows 8 powered devices that will be able to run any classic desktop programs and they cost almost same as the equivalent memory Apple iPad.

    They may well be expensive, but I seriously doubt they need be THIS expensive!

    if exchange rate holds true us would be about 600$
    but thats hardly ever the case when global corporations are involved ill reserve judgement till an official usa pricing is available

    I am getting w510, but yes, win 8 tablets seem to be priced too high to warrant fast adoption. Guess that x86 tablets will gain market share anyway, but Win RT tablets must be priced below proven Android/iOS competition with higher res screens, otherwise they will be DOA
