The result is a cleaner more “app-like” experience that allows you use the Flip Ahead feature to swiftly jump from article to article with a simple gesture.  The pages render twice as fast as the classic MSN web experience. You can use the Snap feature to snap a given page to the side of screen – say your favorite stock- while you engage in another program or page.

At first glance, you will notice the new look and feel. The new MSN is a full-screen experience that is clean, simple and built for touch. Whether you’re reading daily headlines or catching up on the latest gossip, the experience is intuitive and consistent. maybe they should have renamed msn to xbox news or sth like that. they are renaming nearly all of their services and get rid of all those names which weren’t really succesful (e.g. zune, hotmail, …) and with xbox they want to create a whole entertainment platform… why not integrate a newsplatform (former msn) and now xbox news?

They’ll lose the business customers that value the MSN brand!

hmm yeah. maybe. anyway. it’s the service not the name that matter most 😉

To an extent, however, have you considered this scenario/

Wallstreet guy reading a news item, collegue asks, “what are you reading?” “Oh, I’m reading xbox finance!”
