Amazon Kindle App In Windows Store Updated With In-app Store

Amazon today updated its Kindle Reader app for Windows 8/RT devices. This new update brings in the ability to purchase books/magazines within the app.

This release includes an in-app store for touch optimized devices along with improvements to the reading and library experiences.
(In-app store is available in English for customers with an account)
Amazon’s Whispersync technology automatically syncs your furthest page read, bookmarks, notes, and highlights across all your devices that have the Kindle app installed and across any Kindle device. It is one of the best reading apps available in Windows Store at the moment.

Download it here from Windows Store for free.

At least Microsoft doesn’t ban 3rd party apps from in-app purchases. Unlike that fruit company.

Will show an interest in Kindle when it supports comic books on the Windows platforms.

The search always return null from the Amazon Store.

Off topic: My 32 Surface is almost to capacity — .58GB left; this with no media, just apps from the store.

MS really need to figure out a way to allow users to save apps to a SD card. This is ridiculous.

What they really needed to do was install the OS & Recovery partition on a private SSD and leave the entire 32GB for user data. Probably 29GB after formatting.

Update hasn’t come to me yet. How do I force it?
