nice device for Artists and architects is there any news about its launch on the middle east ?

    • GntlStone

Already avail in the EU and AUS if that helps

  • JimmyFal

It’s not even listed on Asus website… anyone know if it has hdmi out, expandable storage?

    • NegLewis

      Nope. No HDMI.
Even Worse. 32 GB will only last you for… 2 hours.

After Student Office Installation + Windows Update you will only have 2-3GB free.
After 10 hours windows Folder will be at 10+GB
      5.5 GB of hidden Partitions.
      Program Files/Program Data ar 4 GB +
      Office x GB.

Compression it’s not ON by default (at least for unused files), so … it’s unusable as a “laptop” replacement.

Without Office it’s ok… but what’s the point?

MS needs to solve this : BAN 32 GB tablets or fix Windows and Office.

Office has downloaded 500 MB of fonts!!!
Windows has 3-4 GB og CRAP Files/cab/fonts/sys/dll/wav … files UNUSED for 99% of the people for months.

Those files already exists in the “recovery” partition…

      WTH MS… wake up !!!

I think everyone who reads this site has a general idea of how much space W8 with office is and what 32GB gets them. What this device is for office use and note taking coupled with light weight online use and a whatever modern UI apps you will use. No one buying this is looking to do heavy anything on it obviously. That being said I went to order one and they are already out of stock!

      • reKitab

“…Office has downloaded 500 MB of fonts…? Then go native, go Notepad or Notepad++, and you wouldn’t whine about fonts, imho!

      • Bugbog

Don’t complain, you did want Full Windows after all, didn’t you?!

On my S-RT, with Office installed and a couple of essential apps and games, I still can get over 10GB free!

Be careful of getting what you ask for.

Just goes to show how dead Windows RT is, another Ballmer failure :(

Good luck Nadella, there’s a lot of cleaning up to do.

    • Nham Thien Duong

This is a Troll-comment, Ballmer did a great job, and he made Microsoft really profitable, respect him more, a may have made a few mistakes, but he was the visionary that made Microsoft into the greatness it is today.

      • SategB

Kin, Zune, WP7, Vista, Windows 8, Surface 1, WindowsRT, Windows 8.1, Employee Stacked Ranking…for these failures and more why even the MSFT Board agreed Ballmer had failed too much and had to go.

That is not trolling that is agreeing with Microsoft Board.

        • blakjedi

You arent too bright. Kin barely launched so thats no big deal. Its only people like you that bring it up as some indication of failure. Zune was too late but is STILL a superior device to ipod. Vista is the basis of all windows. Vista was windows 6.0, Windows 7 is 6.1. 8 is 6.2… you get it ? Surface 1 was simply a write down of 900 million that gets canceled out by the fact that Ballmer gets 2 Billion a year from android sales. Windows RT is simply windows for ARM devices… why is that bad idea when every other os of value also runs on ARM? It was an investment on a raging platform which MS has always done. How is windows 8.1 a failure? Employee Stack Ranking isnt unique to MSFT. Are you just talking to hear yourself talk?.

I really like this, but I can get ”full P.C.’s with 500 G.B. of storage and a way better processor for that price, I really hope that Windows Tablet-P.C.’s will cost around 50 Euro’s in the near future.
