Microsoft revealed its new Envisioning Center at its headquarters in Seattle a week before during TechFest. Microsoft Research revealed lots of their projects which were interesting and futuristic. Pocket-lint had a chance to look at the world’s largest 4K TV built by Microsoft. Yes, Microsoft built its own 4K tv which is 120-inch wide. The also released their  2012 Law Enforcement Requests Report. Here is the part of the summary, · First, while we receive a significant number of law enforcement requests from around the world, very few actually result in the disclosure to these agencies of customer content. To be precise, last year Microsoft (including Skype) received 75,378 law enforcement requests for customer information, and these requests potentially affected 137,424 accounts or other identifiers. Only 2.1 percent, or 1,558 requests, resulted in the disclosure of customer content. · It’s insightful, I believe, to look at the governments to whom customer content was disclosed. Microsoft last week launched a program where it will be paying developers upto $2000 for developing Windows Store and Windows Phone Store apps. This program raised some voice in the industry saying that such programs will lead to poor quality of apps filling up the Windows Store.   Microsoft today revealed its future plans for integrating Enterprise social network Yammer with SharePoint. So far, Microsoft has enabled single sign-on service for Yammer users with their SharePoint login credentials and in the future Microsoft is planning to have deeper connections between Yammer and SharePoint leading to more integrated connected experiences. Here is the plan from their blog post, Basic Integration. This summer we’ll update the Office 365 service and allow customers to replace the SharePoint newsfeed with Yammer. WSJ today reports that US Federal regulators are investigating Microsoft and its business partners over bribery claims. It was reported that Microsoft with its business partners allegedly bribed foreign government officials in return for software contracts. Lawyers from the Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission are examining kickback allegations made by a former Microsoft representative in China, as well as the company’s relationship with certain resellers and consultants in Romania and Italy, these people said. Since the investigation is in a preliminary phase, so far the government hasn’t accused Microsoft or any of its business associates of wrongdoing. Microsoft is yet to respond this report and according to people familiar with these matters, such investigations takes place regularly over time on large companies like Microsoft dealing with governments.
