Bing Testing New HTML5 Web App

7

Bing is currently testing a HTML5 Web app, and we can access it too. But the app is not completed, so its broken in many places, also it gives you an idea of how the app will be. Michael Gillett from MML have posted the above images showing search results and home page of new web app under testing. The app seems to be more optimized for touch, Windows 8 may be the reason behind it. Thanks to Tom Warren of Winrumors who tweeted the link to access this new web app.

You can try it here, Bing.com/bingwin.

It’s not that the app is not complete. It must normally run under “wwa” mode, which I believe is Windows WebApp mode. The app is not intended to run online at this time, even if some parts seems to work.

BTW, the app seems to make use of Segoe UI Semilight, a new variation of Segoe UI I believe to be introduced in Windows 8. In Windows 7, the font doesn’t exist and it’s why you see the blue links using the default IE font.

App is buggy as shit ,and now my bing search is completely fucked up.  Mind telling us how to fix it, since you were so quick to provide a link without a disclaimer that it will completely trash our search experience?

if you have any links to Bing from searches prior to testing this one, just hit one of those and it should resolve your issue. I did it on two different machines.
