Its probably an error, but Amazon has listed the $119.99 Microsoft Surface Touch Cover for only $19.99, which is a rather massive discount. The 3mm thick cover offers a great typing experience for the tablet, with some saying typing is even better on it than on the bulkier Type Cover. The Cover is marked as out of stock, but there is a small chance the giant retailer will honour the orders when the device does become available. See the accessory at Amazon here.   If you want to ad some Windows 8 touch screen goodness to your recently upgraded desktop PC LG has the solution for you, with their new 23 inch Touch 10 ET83 IPS monitor with 10 point multi-touch and a 1920 x 1080 resolution. While a touch screen does not make as much sense in a desktop setting where the monitor may be some distance away, I can easily see this monitor being used to make a kitchen Windows 8 PC or built into a display somewhere. We have had a tip from a reader that their pre-order for the Microsoft Surface Touch Cover has been cancelled in Canada. Apparently others buyers have been similarly affected. Of course one possibility is that the supply may be severely over subscribed, but Microsoft has also told the angry punters that a system error may be to blame. Microsoft has updated the driver of their original Touch Mouse to make it more Windows 8 friendly. The update now adds the ability to use multi-touch gestures, including two fingers to manage apps and display charms. With the update the need to use keyboard shortcuts or screen edges/corners are mostly eliminated.
