Yesterday, Sharp announced that they have developed the Free-Form Display, a revolutionary advance over the conventional display shape concept that enables the creation of new display designs to match a variety of applications. Even though Sharp was focusing on these kind of displays in car dash boards, this advanced display technologies can be used in wearable devices with elliptical displays too. Microsoft this month released an updated Xbox One SDK for developers which gave developers access to more GPU bandwidth, there by enabling more performance for their games. This new SDK update is making it possible for developers to access additional GPU resources previously reserved for Kinect and system functions. Microsoft today clarified few things regarding this XDK. They confirmed that system level voice commands such as Xbox On will continue to work during games even with this new update. Xbox Wire: What features are lost if developers use the extra GPU performance? At Computex, Darfon has revealed a new Maglev Keyboard which is super thin and uses technology different from what we have. Instead of the rubber providing the cushion, the Darfon keyboard uses the magnetism. Since it doesn’t use any traditional parts like rubber caps, it is possible to have a super thin keyboards. Also, users will be able to tweak the resistance electronically, so the keys will have various degrees of pressure depending on the preferences of their customers. Darfon has confirmed that that we will see notebooks with its technology some time in the second half of the year.
