For the fifth straight month, Sony’s PlayStation 4 beats Xbox One in sales in the US. In whatever way you see, it is a bad news for Microsoft. Despite having a solid platform for both games and entertainment apps, Microsoft’s console sales is not up to the mark. I’ll blame marketing team for this poor show in the market. The total sales of consoles and portables combined was $187 million, a 95 percent increase over the $96 million in sales during the same period last year. Top Games in May: 1)Watch Dogs (PS4, XBO, 360, PS3, PC) 2)Mario Kart 8 (NWU) 3)MLB 14: The Show (PS4, PS3, PSV) 4)Wolfenstein: The New Order (PS4, XBO, 360, PS3, PC) 5)Minecraft (360, PS3) 6)The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (360, PS3, PS4, XBO, 3DS, NWU) 7)NBA 2K14 (360, PS4. PS3, XBO, PC) 8)Titanfall (360, XBO, PC) 9)Kirby: Triple Deluxe (3DS) 10)Call Of Duty: Ghosts (360, PS4, PS3, ...

When Surface Pro 3 was originally announced last month, few artists like Penny Arcade’s  Gabriel pointed out the annoying home button issue while they are drawing on Surface. Whenever he was trying to draw , he kept brushing that home button and getting kicked out to the desktop. Microsoft Surface team invited him to the campus and a team of designers and engineers watched him actually draw to find a solution to the issue. Gabriel also pointed out how pressure sensitivity felt a little off to him when compared to Surface Pro 2 and then there was some lag. After few weeks, Microsoft team sent out few devices with fixes for him to try. For home button issue the fix is that basically when the pen is in contact with the screen the home button is disabled. It stays disabled for a couple seconds after lifting the pen up so that you can ...

With Xbox One, customers can make use of the Kinect sensor to control their Xbox One console with voice. One of the basic command available for users is “Xbox On”. If an user tells “Xbox On”, Xbox One will wake up from sleep. Microsoft has recently released a new TV ad featuring Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul in which the actor will be using this command to switch on his console. The strange thing now is that Kinect sensor recognizes Aaron Paul’s “Xbox On” from TV ad as a genuine command from its owner and getting switched on by itself. Lots of users experienced this case yesterday and tweeted about it. OMG AN XBOX TV AD JUST TURNED MY XBOX ON! THE MACHINES HAVE BECOME SELF-AWARE!! Video: Collaborate using Office across devices: Student Microsoft recently blogged about the advantages of using Microsoft Office Suite by students for collaboration. Microsoft cites familiarity with Office and file fidelity are the two main advantages. If you students want your ideas and creativity to be intact as you collaborate with other team members using different devices? With Office available on both PC and iPad, you can easily share Office documents among team members without worrying about losing the fidelity of the standard Office document format. Even when a feature is not supported on a particular device, Office retains the file fidelity and document formatting. So when you reopen the document on a platform that does support the feature, all capabilities are intact. Microsoft also highlighted the suboptimal experience of using Google Docs, Sheets and Slides. Office is already available on Windows and iOS and will be made available in other ...
