For Verizon, only the Black color model will be available in stores, and if you want the red one, you should order online. Verizon website will have both Black and Red color models. This is a surprise move from Microsoft Devices division. They have made Opera Mobile browser as the default browser for their Nokia X series devices. Nokia X2 device which was announced today comes with Opera as the default web browser. The Opera browser is also available for free to download from Nokia Store. Today, Nokia announced the next generation Nokia X series device, Nokia X2. Nokia X2 is powered by Snapdragon 200 CPU and 1GB RAM. Last month, they announced that they have acquired Desti, an SRI international spin-off that uses artificial intelligence and natural language understanding to create deep knowledge of destinations by reading everything about them, and understands users’ natural language, so they can be specific and get the best results, immediately. Today, they announced that they have acquired Medio systems for an undisclosed sum. Medio leverages predictive models to optimize mobile customer acquisition, retention and  monetization using a cloud-based infrastructure for collecting and analyzing customer activity data. Microsoft acquired Nokia’s Devices and Services division last month. For celebrating this acquisition, Microsoft and Nokia asked Shoreditch-based media company TCOLondon to create a book that illustrates the history of Microsoft and Nokia together. This 128 page book was given to 20,000 Nokia employees who joined Microsoft in more than 90 cities in 53 countries. The Verge reported about the contents of the book as follows, It’s a celebration of the rich history that Nokia and Microsoft both share, including etchings of Nokia’s origins in a paper mill in Finland and Microsoft’s roots in New Mexico. Illustrations range from the first-ever GSM call to surgeons using the Kinect sensor for operations.
