Skype 5.1 for iPhone is the result of Skype team listening to user feedback and immediately addressing those comments. Skype 5.1 for iPhone introduces some of the features you wanted most: You can now delete a conversation from the recent list with a long press on recents. You can also edit messages you’ve recently sent with a long press on the message. (Just as you can long press on an individual message to delete it.) Microsoft Skype team has added two new chat commands for Skype. These new commands can be entered into the message box of Skype from any client. The new /remotelogout and /showplaces commands allows you to control your Skype account login activity from anywhere. Read about it below. Controlling Skype across all your devices with /remotelogout:  The first of the two new chat commands that I want to discuss is /remotelogout. If you’re signed into your Skype account on multiple devices, this new command signs you out on all of them except for the device you enter the command on. At the Recode Code Conference in Palos Verdes, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella took stage to talk about Microsoft. During the interview, Microsoft demonstrated a breakthrough technology called Skype Translator. Nadella conducted a conversation with Skype chief Gurdeep Singh Pall, who was speaking German, while Skype provided real-time translation of the German into English and vice versa. Skype Translator results from decades of work by the industry, years of work by our researchers, and now is being developed jointly by the Skype and Microsoft Translator teams. For the last few years, Skype offered group video calling to Premium users on Windows desktop and Mac and more recently Xbox One. Today, they are making group video calling free – for all users on these platforms. Back in the late 90′s, Instant Messaging was a big thing in the internet. AOL’s AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), Yahoo, and ICQ were the big players in the market. In 1997, Microsoft acquired Hotmail, one of the most popular e-mail service. In celebration of the release of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and in the spirit of heroism, Marvel and Skype partnered to make something meaningful. Skype and its employees have raised funds to give a heroic 10-year-old Ugandan orphan named Kasiita Ben the educational tools he needs. Kasiita came to Skype’s attention because of students at George Street Middle School in New Brunswick, Canada. They’ve long been meeting with Kasiita and other Ugandan children over Skype as part of CHAT to the Future, a Skype in the classroom partner. CHAT is a nongovernmental organization that pays for rent, necessities and school fees for 17 orphans rescued from poverty and illiteracy in Kampala, Uganda.
