Xbox chief product officer Marc Whitten spoke with Engadget at CES on Xbox One sales, updates on game streaming functionality and more. First of all, Microsoft is happy about the reception of Xbox One among consumers and working to bring it to more markets. Marc also acknowledged that consumers are finding it difficult to fully explore the social side of the gaming in Xbox One than that of Xbox 360. Microsoft is already working to fix that experience and expect an update soon. “The feedback we’ve gotten is pretty valid; some of the social stuff is hidden or harder to use than it was on the Xbox 360. China has ended its 13 year old ban on game consoles today. This should be a great news for Microsoft and Sony as their popular consoles can be sold in the world’s largest country. The new announcement from the government now allows foreign companies engaged in the production and sale of gaming entertainment devices to do their gaming related business in China. But as you can expect, there will be some authority that will review the games in accordance with Chinese culture. I guess Microsoft expected this announcement as it started a new entertainment venture in China few months back. Shanghai media company BesTV New Media Co., Ltd, revealed that it has plans for an entertainment development venture with Microsoft. BesTV will  hold a 51 percent share and Microsoft will hold 49 percent in the joint venture, initially planned to be known as E-Home Entertainment Development. The joint venture will develop ...

“SugarDVD CEO says Xbox One is a gateway for porn of the future” – This was the title I chose for this post and later changed it to avoid unnecessary brand damage for Xbox One. The title would have been weird, but that is exactly what SugarDVD CEO told in an interview. “Simply put, the Xbox One is a gateway for porn of the future,” SugarDVD CEO Jax Smith said, no doubt to the delight of Microsoft execs. “The PS4 is pretty, but Xbox One allows for more seamless integration and a more interactive experience.” Coming to our current title, according to their latest stats from SugarDVD, Three times as many people have signed up to use the SugarDVD app for PS4 than for Xbox One. Terry added an audio-out port to his Xbox One laptop, but has otherwise replicated all other functionality in the Xbox One.  The laptop will also have to remain plugged-in since it contains no batteries and makes use of the original XB1 power brick.  Terry has already sold his creation but there was no word on price or if more will be created in future for people to buy. Would you be interested in buying one? ...
