Microsoft today announced that they are beginning the roll-out of latest Xbox One system update to end users. This update was released as a preview last month and now Microsoft has released it to the general consumers. Here’s the final breakdown of the features rolling out to Xbox One systems starting tonight and over the next few days: Game and app saves and updates. A game save progress bar will show you the status of your game saves. You will also be able to easily tell what games and apps are being updated or have been updated recently. Friends improvements. Microsoft today announced an update to the Skype app on Xbox One. This version 1.3 available today includes two main improvements including the ability to set your Skype profile picture using Kinect and improved auto-zoon feature.  We know that your Skype profile picture says a lot about you, so with this release you’ll now be able to take a Skype profile picture using Kinect on your Xbox One. Last week, Microsoft released an update for Xbox One to beta testers that includes number of improvements to the Xbox One system. Today, Microsoft released another preview update pushing a few more features to the members previewing new system updates. Here are a few details on those features, Blu-ray player supports 50 Hz video output for content recorded at 50 Hz. We’ll also be updating the Blu-ray Player app in the coming days to round out these improvements. Controller and headset adaptor firmware updates will reduce audio static and improve wireless connectivity. Silent reboot after system updates and system update on demand now available. After this update, if your console is in Instant On mode, the update will happen automatically and return to standby upon completion. Last month, Microsoft announced that 25 games from the ID@Xbox program are launching in Xbox One Store soon. “Strike Suit Zero: Director’s Cut,” the first of 25 games from the ID@Xbox program for indie developers got launched in the Xbox Store today. During Xbox One announcement, Microsoft made it clear that Xbox 360 games won’t be compatible with Xbox One. Since then, there were lots of speculations on how Microsoft is going to address this consumer pain point. Microsoft could either build Xbox 360 emulator support into Xbox One or provide a game streaming service like Gaikai.
