We all know that Microsoft Kinect is being used in various ways by various people. From Xbox 360 games to Shopping Malls with AR apps, Kinect’s potential is virtually unlimited. Now, Microsoft is working with US Air Force to develop Kinect Therapy System  that can be used by injured soldiers and veterans to perform physical therapy at home. “Microsoft is committing R&D and marketing resources to ensure that the [Defense Department] community is aware of the capabilities of the product, as well as the breadth of our partner community, which includes the system integrators,” said Phil West, Microsoft’s director of public sector solutions. “The targeted scenarios include therapy-related functions, but they also span training and simulation, interactive user interfaces, and so on.” Injured soldiers and veterans who find it difficult to come to Army base or medical center for therapy can now do it at their home. Microsoft’s premier racing game, Forza, is getting a new expansion pack next week. The Forza Horizons Rally expansion pack will bring 5 new rally-tuned cars, new stages and a new co-driver system for rally races. Cars included in the Forza Horizon Rally pack include the ’92 Toyota Celica GT-Four RC ST185, the 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR, the 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi, the 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth, and lastly the 1982 Lancia 037 Stradale. For once a Xbox 360 crime story does not involve anyone being killed for one, but actually helping rescue a victim of a home invasion. A 22 year old man walked in on a robbery in his home while playing online on his Xbox 360 in Armstrong County Thursday. The armed robber tied him up with duct tape and stole money, jewellery, guns and his car. The young man managed to call for help using his Xbox 360 headset, and his friends online called 911. Microsoft has released the NPD figures for Xbox 360 sales this past November in USA, and once again the Xbox 360 ruled the roost as the most popular console, selling 1.26 million devices. Major Nelson reports: Xbox 360 sold 1.26 million units in November, maintaining the number-one console spot in the U.S. for the 23rd consecutive month. Microsoft has announced with the advent of Halo 4 the company has now sold more than 50 million copies of the game in total, and that the game has seen more than 5 billion hours being played on Xbox Live. The game racked up these numbers over the last 11 years and 8 editions, with the first release of  Halo: Combat Evolved in 2001. The latest edition, Halo 4, has generated $220 million revenue at launch on launch day, and $300 million in its first week. Microsoft’s new 343 Industries label has taken over the series, and is currently working on  Halo 5 and Halo 6. The Rhapsody app features Kinect gesture and voice command integration, which will make it easy to quickly find and play your favourite music, with radio, new releases, popular albums and member playlists.
