Very few launch games on Xbox One supported 1080p 60fps support. Many critics pointed out that the lack of enough hardware power was the reason behind the less frame rate games. Microsoft always denied this fact and it seems they are correct. In an interview to gamingbolt, Rebellion Games’ Jean-Baptiste Bolcato revealed that their upcoming game WWII shooter Sniper Elite 3 will run comfortably at 1080p. Microsoft revealed ID@Xbox program last year which allowed independent developers to self-publish Xbox One games to Xbox Store. Even though Microsoft announced this program months back, we are yet to indie titles on Xbox One Store. Phil Spencer from Microsoft today revealed that NinjaBee’s Nutjitsu and a mystery Team17 Worms game will be among the first ID@Xbox titles released. Nutjitsu is a free-to-play Windows 8 puzzle game from Ninja Bee, the studio behind A World of Keflings. Team 17 has confirmed to Eurogamer its plan to self-publish Worms Battlegrounds on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Killer Instinct developer Double Helix Games has been acquired by Amazon. Amazon commented that they acquired Double Helix as part of their ongoing commitment to build innovative games for customers. There are also reports that Amazon is planning to release its own console to compete with Microsoft, Sony and others. Even though Double Helix is now part of Amazon, Microsoft confirmed that Killer Instinct franchise will remain with Microsoft Studios. This deal includes rights to all existing and future games, entertainment experiences and merchandise. We have seen many different fields in which Microsoft’s revolutionary Kinect was being used, this one is quite different. Microsoft’s Kinect is now being used in Korean border by the military to monitor the demilitarized zone. If there was any human intrusion, Kinect will automatically notify the army men about it. Even though the current implementation uses first gen Kinect, they are now planning to upgrade to Xbox One Kinect which will able to detect heart rates and heat maps for more accurate tracking. Self-taught South Korean programmer Jae Kwan Ko developed a Kinect-based software system to monitor the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone), which separates the two countries. Microsoft launched its next generation Xbox One console in November last year in 13 countries. Microsoft then announced that it will be expanding to additional countries in 2014. Today, Neogaf forum user posted Microsoft’s plans for Xbox One that includes new Xbox One SKUs, game launch timelines, and Xbox One launch in additional new countries. Last June Microsoft announced that it would be hosting a limited, exclusive developer preview program for Kinect for Windows v2 prior to its general availability in the summer (northern hemisphere) of 2014. A man in Kansas city in the US found that his house was on fire on Friday morning an he was engulfed in flames. He rushed out of the house and then later again ran into his home. Guess, why he went inside? He went back in to grab his Xbox! Yes, he was ready to risk his life to save his gaming console. Fortunately, he is safe now as he suffered only from smoke inhalation as he rescued the gaming system from his home. The fire caused $80,000 dollars in damages and hopefully his Xbox is working now.
