Microsoft chose right from the material to the build quality to ensure great reliability in the hands of consumers. The Microsoft Reliability Lab is a high-tech dungeon where Microsoft drops, bends, pokes, and otherwise abuse devices to ensure they’re ready for the real world.

My favorite test is the one where I am on my 5th keyboard because the fabric cover comes loose at the hinge. Other than that… I love my Surface and MS has given me a new one each time on warranty.
