The PS4 has 7 exclusive PS4 only titles, with another 14 titles that will not come Xbox One but possibly PC or PS3.  Exclusive game titles are extremely important in selling game consoles.  But, with these game consoles also serving as entertainment devices, it remains to be seen how important this still is.  Microsoft is spending over a billion dollars to secure exclusive game titles in addition to opening addiontal game studios.  It is rumored that Microsoft spent over $400 million to secure NFL rights for the Xbox One in the US along with promotion of the Surface tablets through the NFL.

What do you think of the game lineup for the Xbox One? Let us know in the comments below.

What 7 exclusives? Drive Club, The Order, Killzone, Infamous and Knack. Those are 5. Also the 14 exclusive games are the mayority if not all iindie games available on PC. And as they aren’t AAA games they don’t need a great PC with a fancy graphics card. I have a PC, why should I buy PS4? On the other hand, Xbox brings me many exclusives and I will buy Titanfall but I’m not buying the console for it. Exclusives ARE ALMOST everything. The One also has unrivaled multiplayer on Xbox Live, TV functons (which is more of a gimmick), Kinect 2.0 (detects you in the dark, etc.) and Instant Change between apps (thanks to the eSRAM). I liked the idea of having the disc tied to your account as it is partly required to Smart Matchmaking (you can’t switch beetween two discs while you wait for multiplayer).

The TV functionality is real functionality with longevity. To call it a gimmick is to not fully see its potential. There will be a future where all TVs will have a similar device included stock.
privacy fears aside its a future worth fighting for. Lets kill the remote which we always lose or is damaged.

I’m happy Microsoft is investing in more games!! I love halo and gears but I wanna see new IPs and I’m super happy there’re not all Kinect games! If MS can fix the price that is tho only advantage PS4 has.

  • Bugbog

Project Spark is also coming to Windows 8!

  • Gradly

Sony has 30 exclusive titles coming to PS4 of which 20 coming in the first year and 12 new IPs. The announced titles are launch games.

And those 30 titles are being developed by SCE Worldwide Studios other than the indie stuff we saw

    • Lucas

Wow, really? Because I find it strange that they only showed 5 games and the rest were Indie titles, “policies” and third party non-exclusive games with 10minutes more for PS.

    • nohone

And so concludes today’s paid promotion brought to you by Sony ad the PlayStation 4.

      • Gradly

And why don’t you say that to yourself? Why is it hard to accept the others’ opinions? I’m an all next-gen fanboy of both consoles and I just want to tell the truth for everybody because what is written on this post is an incomplete/biased thought

        • nohone

Why is it so hard to accept my opinion? Why is it so hard to accept what the writer of this article wrote, after all, you are attacking him for being biased. I guess your “opinion” is worth more than others, and then you need to attack others for having their own opinion. See, when anybody says anything positive about Xbox One, they must be working for Microsoft. There was even an anonymous person who claimed that they were working for an advert company, and just happened to know that Microsoft was hiring an army of astroturfers to make sure that Xbox looked good on forums. Even though the claims had so many holes that it was laughable, it was used to disprove anybody who had anything positive to say about Xbox. I do not really believe that you are paid by Sony, but when it sounds like an ad for Sony, and I make a little joke about it and your knee-jerk defense of what you wrote, if the tables were turned people would be screaming that it was a Microsoft shill at work.

          • Gradly

I don’t know why you are taking these things seriously! I didn’t talk bullshit. I just reported the truth. Let people know everything as long as everything is known. Both Microsoft and Sony revealed the number of their exclusive games, so why don’t you just report the damn thing? If im wrong, correct me? If not, then what do you want exactly? deceiving people? reporting half the truth?

          • nohone

No, I don’t want half truths. The issue is this “my opinion is more important than yours” attitude you have. You are treating it as if this news is as important as the geopolitical state of affairs of the world. If the article doesn’t have the exact count of titles (I believe it does), does it make a difference?

Even at that, the article you linked to is not a reliable set of information. First off, the very title of that article states they are unannounced games. If they are unannounced, then it is rumor and speculation, not the cold hard facts that you seem to demand from this article. Second, if this site cannot be believed because it is a Microsoft centered web site as you seem to imply, then a site called PlayStation Lifestyle doesn’t have much more believability.
As for this “opinion” bit of yours, it is my experience that card is dealt when someone wants to try to shut down the conversation. The sad guy who is unjustly being persecuted because everyone wants to take away his voice, and is trying to get sympathy to rally people around him, rather than relying upon what they wrote to persuade people towards their side of the debate. If your comment is full of truth, then you don’t need to start whining about a disagreement, the comment will prove your right. And my contention is your comment is not correct, as it is full of rumor and speculation.

          • Gradly

Skip everything I said, rumors and speculations.

I have only one last thing to say, if you watched both Sony and Microsoft E3 keynotes you already knew that both announced a specific number of games coming to their consoles? Do you agree on this? If yes thanks god that’s it. I care about the number not the speculations on what the titles really are.
