    does it support wacom stylus?

I really hate that these displays all seem to be dependent on TV form factors and resolution. I want a resolution HIGHER than HD. My current monitor is 2048 X 1152, and I’d go higher if I could find one. I guess I’ll keep this one until it dies.

      Is your monitor touch-screen?

      • Liquid55

No, but right now, touch is a want, not a need. We’ll see if it develops into a need. It’s just sad to me that resolution is taking a hit in the name of a standard that need not apply to computers.

        • Bugbog

So the 2048 X 1152 size you’ve quoted is the largest touch-screen you’ve been able to locate?

Even though my current monitor size is 2560 X 1600 I don’t believe the above maximum is a demotion for use of touch-screen monitors.

And with regard to your belief that this is a standard that need not apply to computers, I disagree. We’ve had touch-screens on commercial computers for over 10 years but there has been no concerted push for home use. So I do believe this needs to be ‘forced’ and ‘forced’ now.
Else we’ll be back here, 2-4years down the line, complaining about how Microsoft lost it’s chance to ‘beat’ Apple & Google to touch-screen home-computing!

          • Liquid55

No, mine is not touch… And this thing is several years old, and may not have been the true maximum resolution, but was the maximum resolution that I could find for a value. Please tell me more about your monitor, as I’d like to have better resolution.
I think you took me wrong – I was not referring to the touch standard, but the HD standard. HD is effectively forcing certain aspect ratios and resolutions on the computer world unnecessarily. That’s what I was referring to when I said that resolution was taking a hit.
            I’m all for touch.

My monitor is the [previously] largest size one could obtain for a PC, the Dell 3007WFP with an ‘old school’ ratio size.
It’s only in the last year or so that monitor sizes have started going beyond 30″.
