Deal: Chromebook Killer ASUS X200-MA Touch Windows Laptop Now Available For $199

Asus X200 MA Windows Blue

As Google and Intel has some plans to announce regarding Chromebooks later today, Microsoft is looking to crash the party with a great deal for a Windows laptop. Microsoft Store is now offering a neat deal in which you can get an ASUS X200-MA touch laptop for only $199. You can take advantage of this offer at both online and in physical retail stores in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada.

This Asus device offers much value than any Chromebook available in the market. For example, the recently announced Lenovo Chromebook N20P offers similar spec and with the exception of storage which is limited to 16GB for a price tag of $329. I guess this Asus machine offers lot more value to users than a Chromebook.

That white is compatible with my Lumia 1520 but it’s not detachable to a tablet

  • donzebe

Just make same deal available to other retail stores like BestBuy, to give chromebook real headache.

  • dan

Yeah HDD means it runs as smooth as sand paper, and up to 5 hours, what a joke. This doesnt compete with a chromebook.

    • Joe_HTH

LOL! This is running a real OS that can do infinitely more than that POS web browser posing as an OS, with no software available for it.
This is a thousand times better than a Chromebook.

    • jwright

Never turn on a Chromebook and the battery lasts forever and it’s just about as useful as it is when turned on.

    • NGM123

LOL, bet you Dad drove an Edsel as well !

  • pepe

I would change 500gb HD for 64gb emmc.

  • that_guy

They really need to work on this Out Of Stock issue. It always seems to happen at the Microsoft Store.

This really is a real Chromebook killer, heck this’ll defeat pretty much anything bellow the $ 500,- price range, the specs are superb for that price, thanks ASUS. 😀

Its a great competitive laptop for the price, but i can see why it wont sell well enough.
    1 – limited time only
    2 – not sold everywhere
    3 – lack of marketing
4 – google has more power over the media. So many bloggers an deep in google ecosystem that they will rather champion chrome books.
    5 – calling it a killer
I wish it luck. I wish i could buy it, but its not available here. Windows needs more dirt cheap well done laptops like this.

Can I remove that buggy crappy Windows OS from the system. Or better can you please not install that worthless OS?
