Earlier this year, Microsoft announced their partnership with Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival that they will be bringing the music festival experience right into your living room through your Xbox. Various HD streams from the festival will be available for viewing. This new partnership will give Xbox users unprecedented access to the live Bonnaroo experience through an exclusive, interactive television event that will be streaming in high-definition where available. Enjoy live music like never before, with multiple streams featuring the best performances, biggest artists and amazing SuperJams.
Today, they detailed the experience users can have at this festival.
- If you’re at home, Bonnaroo comes to Xbox, the exclusive broadcasting partner for the festival, for the first time. We will have great experiences to share at the festival, and with the live interactive music experience on Xbox One and Xbox 360, giving our fans the opportunity to experience Bonnaroo for the first time and have unique access not even available to those attending the festival.
- You can use the Bonnaroo app on Xbox One and Xbox 360 to choose which performances you want to see, get backstage access to interviews with performers and check out exciting acts from past Bonnaroo festivals. The live stream starts at 1:30 p.m. PT on Friday.
- OneDrive will give fans at the festival their own personal photo history of their Bonnaroo experience. Using the festival’s RFID wristbands, attendees can get exclusive photos from all of the performances that they check into when they link their OneDrive account to those wristbands. Music fans everywhere who are interested in photos from the history of Bonnaroo, or who want to follow along with photos from this year’s festival can head over to the Bonnaroo OneDrive collection. There, fans can find never-before-seen photos from every year of the festival, including official photos from 2014, straight from Bonnaroo’s photographers.
- Skype is joining the excitement by partnering with Xbox to “further enhance the Bonnaroo experience by offering unique and exclusive content that brings fans closer than ever to their favorite artists,” says Angie Hill, general manager, Skype Marketing. Music fans will be able to use Skype to ask questions of their favorite artists either at home or on-site at the festival. Answers to selected questions can then be viewed through the Bonnaroo app on Xbox Live.
