Highly Rated Bing For iPad App Gets An Update

Bing for iPad app which got released few months back got some great feedback and reviews so far. The app has got tremendous rating of over 4.7 from more than 5000 reviews in Apple’s iTunes store. Today, Bing team announced a new update to the app with many new features, From Bing blog,

From our research, we know that many searches are inspired by things people see on the web. Today, it can be somewhat painful to search on a tablet when you’re engaged in reading something; just copying and pasting pieces of text from a webpage to a search box can take up to nine steps on the iPad. With Lasso you can circle and search in just two steps.

This release also includes: an improved movie experience that now lets you view multiple showtime days and theaters, the ability to swipe through the last six Bing homepage images, and hundreds of quality and performance improvements based on what we heard from you.

If you’re already using Bing for iPad, you should see an update for it in the App Store. Otherwise, you can download it here later today.

Once again Windows Phone 7 users are totally left
    aside… Pffffff

Microsoft does not understand why Apple is selling a
lot more smartphone… but with such a stupid behavior, it’s very easy to
    understand why…

I actually own a WP7 since day one… but my next smartphone
will be an iPhone… just to have the best of Microsoft software… ;-(

I think people will turn to Microsoft even more, when they see great software from Microsoft in their Android and iOS devices.

This is very good news for me because I know their will also be a heavy Bing integration in Windows 8. To have all the features of the website, WP7 and this version all in one will be great.

Look at timotim’s post. Bing looks great on the iPad. But the rest still looks like iOS and feels like iOS.
But with W8 you’ll have this app build right into the system. And everything feels and looks like that. If you like bing, you also might like W8, which could be a good sellingpoint for W8 in the future.

About WP7:With Mango, you’ll get a much much better bing-search with big features.
