Intel Details Its Windows 8 Tablet Features

Intel has detailed its Windows 8 tablet features  at a conference in Beijing. As expected, Intel is trying to match the hardware specifics to Apple iPad along with Windows advantages such as app compatibility, etc,. The tablets will be based on Atom Z2760 “Clover Trail” chip with sizes of 10-inch tablets and 11-inch hybrids with physical keyboards. As you can see in the image above, Intel expects their Windows 8 tablets to provide 9+ hours of battery life with 3G/4G chip built-in. Hope Intel along with the PC OEMs delivers on its promise.

Imagine using Intel Widi on your tablet to show the Windows 8 metro screen on your TV and using the tablet like a big touch remote control.  I just hope that they come out with a Widi 3.0 spec that reduces the input lag enough to allow some games.

They need to deliver on this as well as great hardware design. Hardware design is what everyone especially consumers see and base a lot of their feedback and purchase decisions on. Be innovative in hardware design, ask Nokia and they will tell you what that meant with the Lumia 900.
