Microsoft Announces Free Xbox LIVE Gold For This Weekend In US And Canada

If you are a Xbox user, you might have already heard of Xbox Live Gold service which allows you to experience multi-player gaming, Video Kinect, lots of video apps on Xbox platform. You need to subscribe to Xbox Live service which will cost you around $60 per year. Often, Microsoft announces free Xbox Live Gold weekends which will allow any Xbox Live user to experience Gold services. Microsoft yesterday announced that Xbox Live Gold member benefits for Xbox 360 will be free for all Xbox Live subscribers from 14-16 February in the U.S. and Canada.

      My big fuck you to MS is charging a monthly fee for things that cost them nothing. I can understand the need to pay for the online play servers but Netflix and YouTube? Why do they charge when I can do this on a computer, Wii, PS, or Roku for free? I’m not paying a service fee on top of my Netflix fee on top of my internet fee! This is disrespectful to everyone.

      I agree its amazing that Microsoft never offers free events to other regions like Australia. Say offering from the 23rd to the 27th of January, Xbox Australia opening up their Xbox LIVE Gold features to everyone for FREE.
      I mean if they did that then what could we complain about.
