Microsoft Announces YouthSpark Challenge For Change Contest

Microsoft today announced the 2nd year of YouthSpark Challenge for Change contest for young people. Starting today and running through March 5th, people ages 18-25 can submit their next general big ideas by clicking here. Of course, you will be winning lots of prizes. Each entrant will receive a $10 donation gift card to support the project of their choice on YouthSpark on GlobalGiving. 20 finalists will each receive a Microsoft Surface 2 with Office 365 University.

5 grand prize winners will win:  
  • A life-changing, volunteer travel experience in the Amazon to learn about creating change
  • $2,500 cash  to help turn their ideas into a reality
  • A Microsoft technology bundle including a Windows Phone and an Xbox One*
  • The opportunity to serve as a Microsoft YouthSpark ambassador and take advantage of YouthSpark training and resources

The Microsoft YouthSpark Challenge for Change is a chance for you to share how you spark change in your world, or how you want to! Whether you’re already creating change in your school or community, or if you’re ready to start, we want to hear from you! No idea is too small or too big – real change comes in all shapes and sizes.

    This is also one of the reasons why I like Microsoft way more than other tech companies, Microsoft invests more in innovative ideas and helps developers, Google also has great programmes like this, but Microsoft welcomes more people, this is also why I dislike Apple, they are almost a secretive organization, Microsoft is more open, programmes like these make sure that innovation grows faster.
