Microsoft Changing Windows Logo In Windows 8 ??

14

According to images leaked from cnbeta.com, Microsoft is changing the logo of Windows Operating System. The old 4 coloured Windows logo will be replaced by a monochromatic Metro styled thing. Honestly, I don’t like this and I hope its not true. Long Zheng of istartedsomething.com has posted his version of Windows 8 logo which looks better than this one. Look at it below,

What do you think of these logos ??

The second logo is better, at least.  However, I definitely prefer the old wavy one- ‘Metro’ or not.

2 words for this… NO and Fake.
no icons on charms have any perspective, why would new Windows logo has it? it would look bad with the other icons with no perspective.

and again, people who has Access to win8 builds say its fake, since they have never seen this logo, so how is it that cnbeta got it and none else? and they already have shown alot of fake photoshopped work, so i just dont believe it lol

the last “more reasonable” would be the only rational one, but I’m still not convinced any of this is true.

I love it. :) I prefer the perspective of the bottom logo, but colored or monochrome, both look great and much more contemporary. They’ve committed to metro, so why not?

Metro yes, but that logo is not metro style. I hope they don’t use any of these…

How is this not metro? Perspective aside, the four squares are squares and aren’t “wavy” like the old style. This looks exactly like looking at my Windows Phone from a slight angle. :)

    It’s too Microsoft Store-ish.

Sorry but the original (current) one-colour “Windows” logo is more iconic than these crappy ones.  Plus these are obviously fake because the font used does not meet Microsoft’s brand guidelines (Segoe)
