Microsoft Completes Acquisition Of Yammer

Microsoft today announced that it has completed the acquisition Of Yammer, the largest enterprise social network. Microsoft is looking forward to develop Yammer as a standalone service, and enhancing the social capabilities in Microsoft’s communication and collaboration offerings under Office division. Yammer provides a free service for employees to join a private social network that’s intuitive and easy to use. It also enables IT departments to easily transition an employee driven initiative into a managed, social-networking solution. I think the combination of Yammer, SharePoint and Office 365 will give Microsoft a clear position at Enterprise Social Networking space.
