So Windows RT OS will run on x86 but x86 applications cannot take advantage of the OS? Interesting.
I tell ya, that's got me scratching my head and why I'm convinced this isn't RT. But hey, we're getting close and I'm a patient man.

Edit: On second thought, if this is Office 2013, (a name that will make some superstitious types queasy) its possible its engineered to run here.
Oh well, I'll know what I need to know soon.

Windows RT HAS desktop stuff. why? becuase it has file manager, and alot of options you cant fine in Metro, like control panel with advanced users most users dont need but some will want, and also, IE and stuff like that.

OF COURSE desktop WindowsRT wont accept external exes per say, only what microsoft puts on it will run on it, like Office or IE (which is why firefox and google and complaining) so only apps on store can be installed, but still you have access to desktop in Windows RT. so yeah you are confused, it was explained long time ago how WinRT is going to have desktop but not allow desktop apps to be installed for security reasons.

also office its a hugeeeeeeeeeee program to be ported to WinRT.

and also remember the windows is called Windows RT and the new runtime its WinRT, and the article was about windows rt, not about winrt (since winrt is also part of windows "8" for us x86x64)
