Excellent stuff, I’m glad MS stuck at it and not give in to the start menu cry babies.

Will be a beast for sure,, can’t wait…..

I am cautiously optimistic about 8.1/Blue. Looks to add some real value to the interface that will make the start screen more powerful, because I think that seems to be the biggest weakness of 8 (granted it was the first implementation of the start screen).

So a search Hero is basically a way to siphon Google search results into the “Curated” Hero app. This is a way for Microsoft to further blur the line between Google and Bing. A search Hero brings you the best of both worlds so to speak.

What a search Hero really does is that it cuts off the traffic to Google’s own properties hence taking away Winodows 8 eyeballs from Google. So in a nutshell, yeah we’ll take your results but you cannot monetize any of our users Google.

Interestingly Google screamed when Windows Phone did that with the Microsoft created Youtube app.

I wonder what will they do when Microsoft does it to all their properties later this year with the search hero concept.

This is getting very interesting. Get your popcorn ready!!!!
