Microsoft Details Improved Printing Experience In Windows 8

In Building Windows 8 blog today, Microsoft detailed the new improved printing experience in Windows 8. With Windows 8, Microsoft has introduced a new printer driver architecture v4. This new v4 architecture produces smaller, faster printer drivers, and it supports print class driver framework. In most cases, Print class driver framework allows people to install their printers without having to locate a driver for that device. Its almost like a driverless printing. Also Windows 8 allows Printer manufacturers to develop Windows RT apps that performs printing/imaging functions as you can see in the image above.
