Microsoft Dynamics Business Analyzer App Now Available For Windows 8/RT Devices

Microsoft Dynamics team has released their Business Analyzer app for Windows 8 and Windows RT devices.

Description:

Microsoft Dynamics Business Analyzer displays business intelligence information for your Microsoft Dynamics ERP solution.

Features:

Connect to SQL Reporting Services to display Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 and Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011 FP1 reports.
Interact with reports using a variety of report actions, such as copy, edit, view and refresh.
Open Microsoft Lync Windows 8 edition from a report to initiate a conversation with someone about the report.

    I don’t use the back-end product so I can’t evaluate the front-end, personally. It will be of some use to Win RT users of Dynamics, I’m sure. But I wonder if this is another watered-down, tablet-y app, or a real productivity app with all the functionality of the Win32 version?
    One of Win 8′s major credibility problems is that MS needs to give us at least ONE MUI app that equals or exceeds its Win 32 counterpart to as a proof-of-concept for RT as a viable, eventual replacement for Win32, and it needs to be an app lots of people use. OneNote could have been it. It has been MUI’d, and is fairly mainstream, but the result is in no way as rich as desktop OneNote. And don’t get me started (again) about Zune vs. Xbox Music! To be fair, MUI Solitaire is MUCH richer than desktop Solitaire. But that’s not quite the comparison that will sell MUI.
