I don’t use the back-end product so I can’t evaluate the front-end, personally. It will be of some use to Win RT users of Dynamics, I’m sure. But I wonder if this is another watered-down, tablet-y app, or a real productivity app with all the functionality of the Win32 version?
One of Win 8’s major credibility problems is that MS needs to give us at least ONE MUI app that equals or exceeds its Win 32 counterpart to as a proof-of-concept for RT as a viable, eventual replacement for Win32, and it needs to be an app lots of people use. OneNote could have been it. It has been MUI’d, and is fairly mainstream, but the result is in no way as rich as desktop OneNote. And don’t get me started (again) about Zune vs. Xbox Music! To be fair, MUI Solitaire is MUCH richer than desktop Solitaire. But that’s not quite the comparison that will sell MUI.
