Microsoft Enabling Xbox 360 Cloud Storage For Users

Microsoft promised cloud storage solution for Xbox 360 that allows you to store your profile data and game saves during the E3 conference. Microsoft is keeping on its promise and delivering the update to users. As one of the Eurogamer reader noticed, the new cloud storage solution allows you to switch between consoles with your Xbox LIVE ID having the same game saves and profile info.

As Marc Whitten from Xbox LIVE describes,

"We are making it easier for you to sign into your Xbox Live account from any console at any time to access your game saves and full profile,"

"Cloud storage will allow you to enjoy the same great Xbox Live gaming experience even when you’re not in your own living room by giving you the option to store your ‘game saves’ securely in the Xbox Live cloud, instead of on a portable memory unit or your console’s hard drive.

"Gone are the days of ‘gamertag recovery’. Now all you need to do is sign in, no matter where you are!"

Great news. Now if Microsoft will use that same cloud storage to store game progress made on WP7 devices, I’m pretty happy. :)

Nice but how do you know you are now in the cloud ?

Everyone will have access to this service once it rolls out with the fall dashboard update.

    So when will this happen?

With the next dashboard update, which I’m assuming is this fall.

So much win. Mango + New 360 functionality.

Absolutely, I would hope something this obvious would be considered included.

As great as this is we so need this on WP7. 45+ Xbox live games and now my phone needs repairing and I am worried I will lose all my game saves. Sort it MS.
