Microsoft Launches userAgents.IE, An Internet Explorer userAgent Community For Developers

Internet Explorer User Agents

Microsoft has launched a new program for web developers called userAgents.IE. The Internet Explorer userAgent community is a developer formed community supported by the Microsoft Internet Explorer team. This community aims to recognize, support, and connect passionate web developers to raise awareness of web standards

IE userAgents are part of a community composed of like-minded individuals who have experience with Internet Explorer, but — more importantly — have experience servicing all users regardless of the device or browser they may choose to use. One of our main objectives in this community is to raise awareness of cross-browser coding best practices that will help developers create interoperable web experiences that work great across all platforms and browsers, including old and modern versions of Internet Explorer.

The userAgent community is open to anyone passionate, but currently the participation in the program is by invitation only. You can apply, click on the “apply” button on the About page and complete the online form.

Check out the website here.
