Remember, this replaces a laptop. It’s not just a PMP with at larger screen. Sub-2lb. Core i5 laptop with 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD will run you how much?

I understand, i just hope they will be competitive in terms of prices, and a wide range of devices

Some Win8 tablets will undoubtedly be less expensive and I expect some will be more. Most the cost is in the hardware, just as it is with all the current tablets. So those that want low-end will probably find a $350 Win8 tablet with a dual-core ARM processor, 2-3GB RAM and 32GB flash drive.

I think a major factor in the cost of the device is the CPU. Use a cheaper one, and the cost lowers significantly.
