Microsoft To Expand Its Retail Presence Outside US

Microsoft COO Kevin Turner announced last year about the Microsoft’s plans for opening 75 new retail stores over the next two years. Currently, Microsoft owns 19 stores all located within US and they are expanding to other countries as well. According to The Verge, Microsoft is planning to open its first retail store in London in March, 2013. Apart from UK, Microsoft is also planning to open stores in Canada later this year. Microsoft Stores are clearly a best possible way for Microsoft to showcase their consumer story and I hope the expand their retail presence as fast as possible.

I’m in London and I’ve been longing for this day for a very long time. I can’t wait for their stores to finally remove the monopoly Apple have. They should put a store right in front of Apple’s just to take the piss :-)
