Microsoft Trumps Apple In Top 10 Brands That Best Represent Men

Microsoft Men Brand survey

A new consumer study has revealed that more men prefer Microsoft brand over Apple. Annalect conducted a research to study ‘Changing Role of Men’, and found that, in terms of brands that “resonate” with the male population, Microsoft trumped Apple and other brands across age groups. Check out the infographic above.

The study interviewed Boomers (born 1946-1964), Gen Xers (born 1965-1979), and Millennials (born (1980-2000), tallying up to a sum total of 1,509 men for the November 2013 study. Each participant was given a list of brands, ranging from Starbucks, McDonalds’s Coca Cola, Levi’s and Nike. With each different group of men, Microsoft proved a more popular choice than Apple, and was comprehensively favored over the Cupertino, California-based brand.

As you can see in the image above, Microsoft topped the list among Boomers and Millennials and came at second among Gen Xers. Read more about it from the link below.

Great, though I wonder why I.B.M. didn’t make it for the more ”younger people”, but Microsoft is a great and inspiring brand, I’d love to see more Microsoft logo’s on T.V.

Probably because IBM as a brand is not anymore found in everyday things people use.

So this Microsoft bashing and hate that seems so pervasive and loud is spread by a vociferous few. And that this mantra that “Everybody hates Microsoft because it is evil” is nothing but a myth purveyed by a few.
