Microsoft Updates Bing Friends’ Photos Experience With New Look

Bing Friends Photos

Microsoft today updated the Bing Friends’ Photos experience with new look and slideshow feature. Bing Friends’ Photos allows you to quickly find the specific photo (out of your friends’ thousands) on Facebook.

Fresh Look & New Interface: You may be familiar with the modern user interface design principles that serve as the foundation for Windows 8, Windows Phone and Xbox Live. We’re introducing a new tile layout that marries design and performance, making it faster and more seamless to browse your friends’ photos.

Slideshow Mode: Now simply by clicking on a photo, you will enter slide show mode where you can see more photos from your Facebook friends that match your search. From there, you can also search for additional photos, or simply browse.

Microsoft instead of wasting time in giving the American market even more features to bing, how about spend that time in bringing existing features to the rest of the world….

why? what revenue can they expect from repositioning their energy on other markets?

There’s far more “rest of the world” than there is “us” in the US. MS has shot themselves in the foot by not getting products out to places where people would jump at them (Zune for example). Sites like this one show there’s interest in markets they aren’t touching.
MS is a large company with employees all over the planet, I don’t know what it takes to adjust these features to different regions but they need to do something.

No disrespect to the ROW. If you can’t make it in the US, there is no point in trying to make it anywhere else. Nokia is the perfect case study for this argument. Unfortunately for the ROW, you’re just gonna have to wait until the ROI is there…
