During the Windows Store preview event held today, Microsoft announced that Windows 8 Beta is coming in late February 2012. Also Windows 8 store in Windows 8 beta will feature only free app downloads. At CES, Microsoft will demo Windows 8 on variety of hardware from its various partners.

I hope that Win 8 Metro would support 1024×600 resolution. Given then many netbook or 7″-8″ tablet (like HP Slate 2) has a native resolution of 1024×600.
