Microsoft: Xbox One OneGuide Won’t Launch In The UK Until Next Year

Xbox One Guide UK

Xbox One will have a new feature called OneGuide. OneGuide is Xbox One’s own TV listings guide that can be navigated with your voice. Say “Xbox, what’s on Discovery Channel?” and you have the list of shows.  Call out your favorite TV show by name and start watching it instantly.

Create your own personal Favorites in OneGuide, so you can easily choose what you want to watch – whether it’s on Fox, CBS, NBC, ESPN, Hulu Plus or the NFL on Xbox One app. For the first time you don’t have to juggle multiple screens across cable TV, video streaming services and other entertainment apps to quickly find the entertainment you’re looking for.

Even though Xbox One in the US will enjoy this new OneGuide feature right from the launch, Microsoft has confirmed that OneGuide won’t launch in the UK until next year.

I’m not really surprised, these services are usually US centric.

Well that sucks. Not happy about that MS!

    • Ben A

that’s sucks because its up to UK tv providers and companies not MS.

Their making this happen with IR blasts (same as you pressing buttons on your remote) so nothing to do with cable providers. Either a licensing or formatting issue most likely.
