N-Trig Releases Updated Wintab Drivers For Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Devices

Surface Pro 3 8

On the launch day of Microsoft Surface Pro 3, N-Trig has released their updated Wintab drivers for Microsoft Surface Pro 3 devices. The R16 version will be available for download soon.

N-trig is constantly working on improving the user experience and adding support for additional features and programs. Our DuoSense Pen is fully compatible with Microsoft HID reports and any application that support the windows pen API should work without any issues.

There are some programs that do not support the standard Microsoft HID reports. For these programs N-trig released its Wintab middleware software in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. The N-trig’s Wintab middleware is compatible with all of Windows-based devices powered by N-trig’s pen and touch technology, this driver was fully tested with all relevant Wintab test applications.

The following list includes applications that were tested and are compatible with N-trig’s Wintab driver:

who told, Ntrig was not going to be quick, to release updates, should shut up

Will this be included with an Update from Microsoft through Windows Update, possibly the next firmware update? Or do we need to manually download and install from the Ntrig website?

    • Huckleseed

I did it through Windows Update and it works perfectly including the pen pressure sensitivity in Photoshop.

  • ant

they didn’t include photoshop cs6? Really!?

Not only is the link broken, but when I managed to find their download page fpr the latest version of Wintab, and installed it, I soon discovered that there os no way to actually access any new setup options.

So far, I’m liking my Surface Pro 3, but setting up the pen has been a complete farce. None of the menus in the Control Panel seem aware that the pen actually has more than one button.
