Screenshots Of Windows 8 Metro-Style Music Player Emerges

7

Just yesterday we saw some screenshots of Windows Store on Windows 8. Today Windowsunleaked has posted screenshots of the Music player app for Windows 8. The new music player is metro-styled, simple and supports album, songs pinning, etc,. There are options to buy Music as well. I think this will be a lightweight alternative for Windows Media Player in Classic Windows 8 Desktop that can be used while we are in Metro mode.

why is this not ZUNE, Microsoft needs to dump or merge windows media player and zune to make one player.. and zune is the best choice.

I dont understand the reasoning behind microsoft wasting time developing windows media player when zune software is simply awesome. Why not merge them both into one and have zune be ALL?

Come on microsoft- drop WMP- Go with zune. Mind share is important for teh success of your zune system.

Why confuse people between deciding wmp or zune?

    surely this will be zune…right?

Echo the sentiment, ZUne interface is already mature AND METRO-ised.   DUH!

I wonder how this lines up to Microsoft’s promise to deliver windows Media Centre in later pre-release builds of Windows 8. There is a sizeable community of Windows Media Centre users out there that find the central control and delivery of all multimedia content on the PC and the TV very useful (myself included).
