there is an option, got to charm bar inside Skype, select settings, then Account…

Which, IIRC, asks you to get out of the computer and log in with another, or add an account to the computer.. stupid.

You shouldn’t need multiple accounts. I actually agree with that idea and it makes sense. You should be able to control your contacts in a way that lets you be visible to some but not all and vice versa.
If you link accounts the app should automatically suggest that your contacts who are not in common be placed in separate groups. That should solve your problem

I hope they fix WP8 version soon or update Tango. Video sucks even over wifi.

Of note; whenever Skype Metro is tombstoned (not sure if this is correct) it appears to cut the connection or I appear off line. This has created some redundancies when people are trying to contact me. Anyone else notice that?

How about letting you log out and log in with another Skype ID without having to freaking create a whole new profile for the computer or logging in into the computer with another account!!

Fortunately the desktop version still works.

I am very underwhelmed with the whole Skype experience so far. I understand that steering a ship is not easy but come on! The lack of features like the one you just mentioned is annoying. At least let me link the damn accounts.

My biggest issue with Skype as Microsoft tries to consolidate its instant messaging products is that it is not an IM client per se. It’s a telephony product/client that had to grow IM capabilities.

If Skype gives me a local number to receive calls at for free a la google voice, and text free also, i’d drop google voice immediately.
It doesn’t offer those features. It’s not a real IM client. For now I am avoiding it like the plague unless I have a contact who can only communicate through it.

It’s fugly when dealing with multiple accounts. The account I used for Live Messenger I do not want mixed up with my phones ms account, plus I have 3 Skype accounts that I want contacts separated
