Skype Contact Blocking

Skype for Windows 8 app got updated to v1.6 with one of the most requested feature contact blocking support and performance improvements.

Contact blocking

With this update, we wanted to give our users higher control over who can contact them by adding the ability to block contacts.

To block a contact, select the person’s name to open up the chat window. Bring up the command bar by swiping at the top or bottom of your screen (or right click), and select block. You may also choose whether you want to remove or report the contact request as spam

This new update also brings in performance improvements such as improved loading speed and reliability across the application. As a result, contacts load speed should now be a lot faster.

Find the update in the Windows Store.

One complain is that if I run both skype desktop and skype windows 8 then when someone rings both apps ring.. Only one should ring and you should be able to figure that out by which mode you’re in.
