Surface Pro 64GB Out Of Stock As High Demand Overwhelms Microsoft

8

As we previously reported Microsoft is continuing to expand its distribution for the Surface Pro: http://microsoft-news.com/microsoft-allows-resellers-to-start-selling-surfaces/  This combined with Microsoft’s educational offering discount and the early beginnings of the back to school buying season have overwhelmed Microsoft’s supply of the 64 GB Surface Pro and it is currently out of stock.  The Surface Pro 64Gb remains in high demand due to its lower price point than the 128GB model.

We have reached out to Microsoft for comment and will update accordingly.

Is it certain that they were “overwhelmed” is possible that demand for the 64GB has been low enough where they’ve not bothered to ramp up production? Everyone I know, to include myself, who bought a Pro bought the 128GB version.

This, anyone with half a brain chooses the 128 gb version over the 64 gb version.

        Not everyone can afford it.

Didn’t they just give a shitload of these away at a conference?

No, 128GB versions were given away at the conference.
