Gartner today released their report Worldwide Device Shipments in which they reported that the combined shipments of devices (PCs, tablets, ultramobiles and mobile phones) are projected to reach 2.4 billion units in 2014, a 4.2 percent increase from 2013. Also, Android will continue to lead the pack by over 1 billion units and Windows devices will hold the No.2 position. Garner also feels PC market will see a relative revival this year. “2014 will be marked by a relative revival of the global PC market,” said Ranjit Atwal, research director at Gartner.
