Microsoft has acquired Apiphany—a leading API management delivery platform.  The one year old company is based in Washington D.C. and the terms of the deal were not disclosed.  Steve Martin, general manager of Windows Azure Business and Marketing stated in a blog post: While there is nothing new about app extensibility, cloud computing has rapidly accelerated the use cases for extensibility which has increased the value of the APIs.
