Early this year, Microsoft announced that Microsoft Studios has acquired the rights to the “Gears of War” franchise from Epic Games. The deal included rights to all existing and future games, entertainment experiences and merchandise. Also, the new Black Tusk Studios in Vancouver will take over development of the “Gears of War” franchise on behalf of Microsoft.
