Last week, Microsoft announced that Microsoft Studios has acquired the rights to the “Gears of War” franchise from Epic Games. This deal includes rights to all existing and future games, entertainment experiences and merchandise. Also, the new Black Tusk Studios in Vancouver will take over development of the “Gears of War” franchise on behalf of Microsoft with Rod Fergusson, former Director of Production at Epic Games on the “Gears of War” franchise, will join Microsoft and play a key studio leadership role at Black Tusk on the development of the franchise going forward. If you were planning to buy a Sony PS4, then this is a bad news for you. Titanfall is a first-person shooter game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts as an exclusive for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The game was officially announced as Respawn’s debut game at Microsoft’s E3 2013 press conference, and is scheduled for a March 2014 release. Everyone thought it as an exclusive for Microsoft at launch and may debut for PS4 later on.
