Microsoft previously announced that Intel Core i3 and Core i7 versions of Surface Pro 3 would be shipping “in August.“ Panos Panay today said “Thanks to some great work by our team, I can confirm that, in this case, “in August” means August 1, which is when these versions will arrive in stores and at commercial resellers in Canada and the US.” Also Surface Pro 3 will be made available by end of August in 26 additional markets. Satya Nadella was in Paris yesterday talking to Om Malik at Loïc and Geraldine Le Meur’s LeWeb’13 Conference in Paris, France.  Om Malik is a fairly well known anti-Microsoft blogger, but I thought his questions were relatively fair.  That being said, I did not find the talk super interesting and it mostly focused on Nadella’s area of expertise, the enterprise & the cloud.  But, this is a rare public talk by Satya, potentially Microsoft’s next CEO, sharing some of his thoughts on the future. As winter -storms hit across the United States I’m sure many are thinking of warmer places they would rather be at.  We continue our series of in-depth coverage of the Bing search trends of 2013.   When Bing first started out as Live Search it used to have a search service called xRank.  xRank kept track of notable celebrities, musicians, politicians, etc. and ranked them in order of popularity from Bing search query results. We were pretty glad when John Lewis announced they will be carrying the Microsoft Surface in UK this weekend, and I am sure French readers will be equally glad to hear popular electronics retailer FNAC is also offering the device. Already available online, the 32 GB tablet is retailing for 589 EUR, with the device available for delivery before Christmas.
