Recently, Microsoft Skype marketing team brought pop duo MKTO face-to-face with some of their biggest fans with the help of group video calls(which was made free to all Skype users) and Skype on mobile phones(available on all popular mobile platforms like iOS, Android and Windows Phone). Microsoft today updated their Skype app in Windows Store. In April, Microsoft announced that their group video calling experience free to existing platforms, with additional device support coming soon. Today, with this app update, they are bringing the feature to Windows tablets and Windows 2 in 1 devices. Watch the video demo above to see how it works. We’ve found that most group calls take place between three or four participants.  When building the group video calling experience for modern Windows, we optimized so that the three most talkative people – plus yourself – are visible at the same time. However, you can be on a call with up to 10 people: their videos will show up once they start speaking. Quentin Clark who was a Corporate Vice President in Data Platform Group at Microsoft has moved over to a new position within Microsoft. He has joined Microsoft Business Solutions, the group which has Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM, as the new Corporate Vice President of Strategy. As a CVP, Clark joins the upper level of Microsoft Dynamics managers reporting to MBS executive vice president Kirill Tatarinov. Other CVPs in Tatarinov’s organization include Hal Howard (Dynamics ERP), Bob Stutz (Dynamics CRM), Neil Holloway (MBS Sales and Operations), and Wayne Morris (MBS Solutions Marketing).
